- Hell on earth – Heaven in dreams : Pakistan itself and the whole world accepts that democracy is in danger in Pakistan. Islamic terror forces along with the support of their own army are governing the whole country. Their economy is in pathetic condition. Their western borders are unsecured, terrorists who have been nurtured by them keeps on reminding them about their sin from time to time by bomb blasts, the minority community doesn’t know which will be their last day and many more problems exists in Pakistan at this date. But the irony is – Their most important agenda is KASHMIR. They are hardly able to manage the land they have got, and they want more. They claim to be ready to pay any price for Kashmir. How could an elected government of a democracy be so unjust to their people? The Army Chief of Pakistan recently gave a statement that they are ready to pay any price for Kashmir. But who the hell is selling it? I have never been to Pakistan, but am sure, general public of Pakistan is not different from that of India. Their expectations from their government are not much different. I don’t believe that Kashmir is their first priority, nor they elected a government to ignore their basic needs and problems and get ready to pay price for Kashmir.
- Home to terrorists, victim of terrorism: This victim of terrorism is home of Hafiz Sayeed, Osama Bin Laden, Kasab and many more who have been officially declared as international terrorists by US and UN. Pakistan is still not able to figure out the team they are playing from – terrorists or victim. So they keep on swinging between the two.
- Priority order in Pakistan- Militant>Military>Kashmir>People: Pakistan is an Islamic country, with very less population of other religions. Frequent bomb blasts are taking place in Pakistan. Thousands of innocent Muslims, Hindus, Christians and all others die in these blasts. This could not move Pakistani establishment, but those 20 Muslim Militants who have been killed by Indian army in an operation in Myanmar- India border did give them a concrete issue to stand for and protest! Are the lives of their innocent citizens are less valuable than those militant? I could not understand the reason for protest. Is this because those terrorists were India’s enemy so they automatically became kins of Pakistan, or the common religion they follow which is interpreted differently by the peace loving Muslim, or is it something fishy?
- Promise of secure future from the assassins of future – The barbaric attack on Army School in Pakistan killing around 140 kids shook the whole world, sparking new debates and jets of anger against terrorism. The whole world condemned it. It was moaned by all, irrespective of religion and nationality. Pakistan was the victim and now the world was expecting to see some drastic change in its attitude towards the terror groups. Pakistan did not let those expectations down and killed many militants in various raids across the country, specially in western borders. Unfortunately, this was momentary. This attitude did not last for long because a mother cannot be angry with her children for long.
- Nuclear nuclear everywhere, no place to use: Being a nuclear power is an extra feather in the cap, but it cannot be the cap itself. In this era, everybody knows, practically its next to impossible to use a nuclear weapon whatsoever. Pakistan is developing nuclear weapons at the highest rate in the world. I still wonder what they will do with all those as they cannot risk their existence by nuking India nor they can nuke the terrorist.
Pakistan needs to understand, there is no shortcut to peaceful development. They need to succeed as a democracy for themselves and for the world. And this difficult task they have to do without terrorists and terrorism.
