Modi once again seems struggling with changing modes.
Sometimes I doubt whether am listening to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi or BJP leader Narendra Modi. He fails to change his speech mode from election rally to one representing a great nation at world level. His claim that his government made the Indians proud of which they were earlier ashamed of, is condemnable. Who ever represented my country at any level, was the one i chose. His statement directly questions the choices of the 1.2b people of India. And he must not forget, he has yet not delivered anything concrete on ground reality. Nor it is possible to change the face of the nation in such short time span. There were many scams during last decade, but that cannot overrule everything Indian Government did for national development. More than half the things he claims as the achievements of his government, were started by the earlier government. They started project Mangalayan, they started various defense projects, they are the one who carried relations with the international community with maturity and tolerance, they are the one who protested strongly in very responsible way in case of Devyani Khobragade. The ex PM Manmohan Singh was the one who rescued India during recession when economies of other countries crashed like anything! It is their hard luck that the international conditions were not favorable and its you golden luck who came into power exactly at the time when it was time to reap what they sowed. Am not criticizing your work, your government has done a great job in last year. But claiming that you have done everything which raises our head with pride, is wrong! It was the Government of India who worked for the betterment of its citizen, and its still the Government of India, not Bharatiya Janta Party. Questioning India on last 30years is questioning the one who elected you. The real face has changed in last 30 years. Agriculture, technology, service sector, GDP, growth rate, life expectancy, health facilities etc. Have developed immensely. And at least one third credit goes to the Congress led government! And one important thing, is improving the international status the only responsibility of a government? Internal matters and internal development are secondary?
